For the first time in Israel, a walking soccer league will open in the winter of 2023. The league will include 6 walking soccer teams, where the minimum age of the players is 55 years, but the vast majority of the players are over 60 and even 70 years old.
2 teams in the new league,"Melabs" Petach Tikva and "The crater" from Ramat Gan, consist of former players in the national league (now replaced by the Premier League) from the 80s, including former Israeli national team players. 4 teams of amateur players and former players representing their cities will also play: Herzliya, Ra'anana, Petah Tikva and Rishon Lezion.
The league matches will be judged by former referees, including Yaakov Sheiner, Eyal Tzur and Danny Koren.
The games will be held on Thursdays in the evening, in a single-leg format (goalkeeper and 5 other outfield players), on the fields named after the late Meir Einstein at Sportek in Herzliya.
The first round will start on February 16, 2023, at 19:30 at Sportek Herzliya.

Week 3 - 30.3.2023
Week 4 - 20.4.2023
Week 5 - 4.5.2023 (after two weeks)
The league is organized by the "Football State," which established this new sport in Israel last year, with the assistance of the Israel Football Association, the Maccabi Center, the Ministry of Culture and Sports, and the Association for Popular Sports of the Sharon District.
